I'm Dying and Nobody Gives a Shit

Today on my way home with my boyfriend we found a dying cat in the middle of the road. Looks like he was been hit by a car or motorcycle. When we found him, he was stiffed and surrounded by his own blood from his neck. I was like “OMFG!!! WHO DID THIS”, what can i do to save him? I have no courage to even look at him! I AM SO FREAKIN MAD RITE NOW bcos i dunno where to report this hit n run.

I remember reading somebody’s post in a forum. There’s this dog, just call him Frank. He has this family who don’t give a shit about him. Lisa (owner, not her real name, well i dunno her real name so lets just call her Lisa) got Frank from her dad as a birthday present. Frank was still a puppy. Lisa took care of him for only a month and then got bored. She never played with him again, she never feed him again, she didn’t care if he’s bored and locked in a tiny cage located beside a gutter. No one in the family cares, not even Lisa’s dad or mom. So one day Lisa’s neighbor (which is a dog person) got so mad then tried to talk to Lisa’s dad.

Neighbor : “Sir, why don’t you give up Frank to me? I’ll take care of him, I promise”

Dad : “No thanks”

Neighbor : “Why? Look at Frank, why don’t you feed him?”

Dad : “It’s Lisa’s job, it’s her pet anyway”

Neighbor : “He will DIE if you keep on doing this to him”

Dad : “LET IT BE. IF HE DIES THEN MY DAUGHTER WILL KNOW WHAT LOSS FEELS LIKE”

Neighbor : “#^%@&#%(!*#%!” then go home

After a few weeks trying to convinced Lisa’s dad, finally he gave him up.

Darn old man, i hope u suffer the way Frank did.

Such a Terrible Loss

It's been a while since my last post. Sorry i'm kinda busy doing college and my job at the same time.

November 3rd 2009 was a sad day for me. I lost my best friend. He died of parvo virus. That virus was so cruel it didn't let him live for a day.

November 3rd 2009, 8.30am :
He was not like he used to be. He was so quiet, sat in the corner of the balcony all alone.

10.00am :
Biting his tounge, had a watery eye, was having dysentery.

11.30am :
My boyfriend's mom brought him to a vet. The vet said his temperature has reached 41°, the chance of living is 50:50. He injected him with vitamin and medicine to stop the dysentery. The vet also said that he must be quarantined so the virus don't get to other dogs.

12am :
He arrived at my boyfriend's mom's house, quarantined, not having desire to eat, drink. Have to force him to drink by using some kind of straw and force him to open his mouth

2pm :
My boyfriend's mom leave the house to buy him vitamins, medicine, etc etc

3.30pm :
She got home and got him already froze.

Only 3 days more to his 1st birthday, and now he's gone already. It was shocking and unacceptable.

I never consider him as a pet but as a member of a family, a best friend. He will always be remembered and loved.

Java Rockin' Land 2009, The Report

Happy August!

The event was great! On August 8 20.000 people sing along with Mr. Big. The jumping crowd makes the ground feels like there was an earthquake going on. It was CRAZY!

7 August 2009

International Artist Lineup :
Melee
Vertical Horizon
Joujouka (Japan)

Melee was one of the best performer on the show. Chris wore "WE ARE NOT AFRAID" t-shirt during the show :> (if you don't know what this is, u have to check on my older post). Ricky Sans made the girls screaming. Well i barely know their songs. All i'm familiar with is just "Built To Last". I like "Big Heart Breaks Easy", it was neat :>. Melee closed their show amazingly with a lot of fireworks. My eyes set on Chris that night, he was so cute :p.

Vertical Horizon makes me felt like i'm 7 years younger lol. "You're a God" and "Best I Ever Had" really makes me scream during their show. I was like, "OMGGGG first time i hear this song i was like 13!"

Joujouka (Japan), a little bit different. It was my first time seeing them live on stage n also my first time hearing their songs. The vocalist is a little bit ecentric. Well, not a little. A LOT! lol. This band is great. They play techno-rock. Errr.. I dunno what is the genre actually. But they have DJ, no drums, guitarist, and a keyboardist. My advise, don't get too close to the stage. Why? The vocalist was slobbering and spurting all the times. Kinda yucky.

8 August 2009

International artists lineup :
Secondhand Serenade
Mr. Big
Motherjane (India)

I came a little late bcos of the traffic jam all over the enterance to the parking lot! It took me 1,5 hours to really park my vehicle. 8 August was the most crowded day. Pantai Karnaval is a huge huge place n it was filled with people. Wow! I came in when Secondhand Serenade already played 4 songs (Your Call, Awake, Maybe, and A Twist In My Story). Argh! I was still waiting in line when John Vesely played Your Call. Everybody in line was like "Oh SHIT! hurry hurry!". But thankfully i did not missed "Vulnerable" and "Fall For You". If i was, i'll be in a bad mood that day. John Vesely looks really happy seeing the crowd. He said "I wanna hear the loudest voice in my life. Can you guys do that? Make noise. Scream, talk, sing, whatever it is, just make noise", and everybody was like "whoooo hoooo" or "yeaaaahh" or just simply "aaaaaaaa".

Mr. Big ROCKS! The comebacks was awesome! Like i said before, Mr.Big made 25.000 people jumping. I was kinda scared that moment, i thought there was an earthquake lol. They played "Wild World" and everybody was screaming. It was my first time seeing Paul Gilbert and Billy Seehan doing their solo. I was.. Insane. 25.000 people wasn't all. 20.000 people look towards the stage (ahead me / people i saw), behind me? there was 25.000 more (or more, i assume).

9 August 2009

Intl artists lineup:
- MEW
- Third Eye Blind

I decided not to attend cos my body can't take more jumps, scream, laugh, etc. I was too tired. But i heard it was great.

Love,

Priska

A Story Behind The Bars

Today me and my boyfriend visit my friend at Lapas Klas II A Pemuda Tangerang (a jail which located in Tangerang). It was my first experience and it was terrifying. I look around and see nothing but prisoners families, a bunch of people wearing same shirts (prisoners), a lot of police, etc. My friend is a nice guy, he was just caught up in bad situation n time. He was smoking weed n i guess somebody called police so then he got arrested. That is one of my reasons why i don't do drugs. I don't want to be trapped in that situation.
First time i stepped my feet to that place, the one thing that came in my mind was "omg how can he survives this?". The building is very old but looks like it is still well taken care of, it also has a huge green gate that has a tiny door on it. I heard that it is one of Indonesia's first jails.

We wait in line with other people to get in and pay visit to prisoners. After the speaker called my boyfriend's name, we get in to the police's office to get our stuffs checked. After that, we can really go inside the jail to visit my friend.

My friend waved to us, it was really pleasant. I am really relieved that he's doing okay there. I want to hug him but i just can't. I want to cry but i just can't. He looks so skinny like he never ate, he always smiles to us although we know he's in pain. I bought him beef burger cos i assumed jail's food won't be good cos based on what i saw on tv it is just yucky.

On my way to my friend's work place in jail (prisoners have to work inside the jail), i feel uncomfortable. All prisoner's eyes set on me! OMG! It was like they want to eat me or something. My friend told us everything about the jail. He said "Here, there are so many different people. Look over there (he's pointing someone with his chin), he is a drug dealer. Others like murderers, rapers, and so on and so on, is also here. This is the second (or third, i kinda forgot) exile place". I feel like i want to faint.

So then i asked him if there's any prisoners that is sexually abused by other prisoners like what gossip said. Gossip also said that it maybe bcos all women and male's jail is separated so then they become homosexual or at least can be stimulated with others with the same sex. After i asked him that question, he said "Yeah, one prisoner does that and he's now being exiled to Nusa Kambangan (the WORST jail in Indonesia)". I shouldn't have asked that question.

"I'm counting my days", he said. He should be arrested for 10 months but with his good deeds, the judge decided to give out 2 months for him. It is a good thing. He will go out on September. Still 2 months and few days left. But imagining how is it like to be in there, i won't last a day. I believe, he will be a better person after he goes out from that place bcos i know he really is a good person actually.

After 1 hour, we shake our hands and said "goodbye, i'll see you then". He was leading us out to the gate, the farthest place he can go, and said "I want to see Mr. Big! Paul Gilbert will be playing! Shit!". Me and my boyfriend laughed and tease him "You should! oh it will be a great show! too bad ur here. We will send you the video, how's that?". We laughed together and for the last time saying goodbye and waving each other. I said "we will come back to visit you as soon as we get the time". I hope he's not feeling alone.

What I Like Best About Night Time

I have insomnia, to be honest. I often sleep at 8 or 9AM. I'm kind of enjoying it, but sometimes having problem bcos of it.

What i like best about night time :

1. I love the sound of silence. Day time in Jakarta can be so noisy e.g bus honks, noisy mufflers, crazy yelling people, etc. In night time i found peace and quiet.

2. I love too see few cars on the road, makes me drive easier and don't have to worry about traffic jam.

3. As you know, Indonesia has tropical climate, which means we can see sun all year long. Sun = hot air, skin burn, sunblock, tanned skin (tanned skin is not hot for indonesians), etc, which i don't like. So, i prefer night time, why? Moon = stars, city lights, warm / cold air (depends on the season), lotion, no skin burn, etc.

4. Privacy (if i'm in the house). Day time can be so noisy, the sound of television, my dog's bark, my maid's mumbling (a cute mumble lol, she's on the list of my important person, she's like family), the sound of my brother's PSP / playstation, etc. Look at my older posts, did i ever write things after 9AM? No. I need privacy when i write blog, and i can have it on night time. If i did write it like in 7AM or so on like now, it must be of this insomnia.

5. Less police. Well umm, in this case.. I lost my ID =|.

I always enjoy driving on night time rather than day time. I really love to see city lights from top of the building and taking pictures of them sometimes. I really love how night time smells. It smells different. Maybe bcos in night time many cars or buses or else are 'sleeping' so there are less pollution, or.. I dunno. It is just.. different.

With love,

Priska
